Recently we counted with the presence of the Movistar team at Hotel El Guerra with a cycling figure like Alejando Valverde at the helm. They have enjoyed such a special environment as Sierra Nevada to train and have used our bikefriendly zone.
They have been responsible for inaugurating this new area of the hotel and for us it has been a “perfect test” of our new services for cyclists in Sierra Nevada with magnificent results.
The Spanish team trained in Sierra Nevada .. And Valverde won the World Cup!
The entire Spanish cycling team stayed at El Guerra during the preparation of their participation in the World Cycling Championships held in Innsbruck in September … with the victory of Alejandro Valverde. They trained on the roads of Sierra Nevada and in our gym. In the images you can see the entire team resting in our facilities and posing with war workers.
This special visit has allowed us to appear in many media. Alejandro Valverde himself, asking him about his stay at El Guerra, said “It was wonderful. We were at 1,550 meters, at the hotel El Guerra, who treat us like a family. I’ve been concentrating there for two years before the Tour! “
Make the most of your route with a local guide
If you wish, you can hire for 50 € the accompanying guide service to make routes. You can talk to the hotel and the guide will adapt to the route you want to make or give you recommendations. It has a van in which bicycles can be transported.
The guide will accompany you on the whole journey and you can take care of the road and simply enjoy the route.
