Natural pools | Cool off this summer in Sierra Nevada

Summer is coming to Sierra Nevada and there are many activities that can be done during this season in the national park. From hiking by bike, to the active tourism activities offered in the resort area.

And since these are hot months, one of the things you want to do most is take a dip to cool off. In Sierra Nevada in summer, we have some of the best natural pools in Granada and below we are going to present some of them to you.

Maitena River Pool

In the same municipality where we are located, Guejar Sierra, is this beautiful natural pool in Granada, perfectly adapted for bathing in the waters of the Maitena River. There are hiking trails in the area and even a path that runs along the Maitena River.

In the same pool there is a restaurant serving traditional cuisine where you can eat or have a drink. Without a doubt one of the best options for swimming in Sierra Nevada in summer.

Canales Reservoir

20 minutes from the hotel

This reservoir can be seen perfectly as you climb the mountain road coming from Granada, just before reaching our hotel in Sierra Nevada.

Here, in addition to being able to take a dip surrounded by nature, active tourism activities such as canoeing or kayaking are organised.

Cahorros route

It is one of the most popular routes in the Sierra Nevada Natural Park in summer and throughout the year, accessible and adapted for all types of public.

It is a route of great beauty that crosses a suspension bridge over the Monachil River and in which during the summer, you can do some stretch inside the river and therefore cool off both along the route and in the waterfall that is found at the end.
